சர்வதேச அளவில் ட்விட்டரில் புரட்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியது இந்த ஹாஸ்டாக். பலர் தங்களுக்கு பனி புரியும் இடத்திலோ, பொதுஇடம், கல்லூரி, பள்ளி போன்ற இடங்களில் நடந்த பாலியல் வன்கொடுமைகளை பகிர்ந்துவந்தனர்.

சமீபத்தில் இந்த ஹாஷ்டாக் நம் இந்திய வட்டாரத்தில் நுழைந்தது. சினிமா துறையில் இதனை Casting Couch என்று நேரடியாக நடிகைகளிடம் உபயோகிக்கும் தயாரிப்பாளர், இயக்குனர்களும் உண்டு.

METOOINDIA என்று ஆரம்பிக்க இதில் சினிமா மட்டுமன்றி சின்ன திரை, பத்திரிக்கை துறை என்று பல பெண்கள் குற்றம்சாட்டினார். நம் தமிழிலும் கூட பாடகி சின்மயி, வைரமுத்து தன்னிடம் தவறாக நடக்க முயன்றார் என்று கூறினார்.

But have you ever called out @Siva_Kartikeyan or @makapa_anand who in the name of humour just comment lewdly about dresses especially you n the contestants?they seem to get away even with homophobic jokes!in a way @vijaytelevision enabled sexism in workplace

Sanjay,we are discussing MUCH bigger issues at stake here.Rape,physical abuse,assault.The 2 ppl in question are my friends/co workers n respect women more that most other men.I agree humour may differ from person to person,but there is NO sexism or malice intended.clear enough?
